Hollows in hillslope. Growing with scattered matagouri + briar, grassland, 20% bare ground, dense patches of Rytidosperma merum with browntop - only a few patches, Pilosella officinarum - abundant, Hypericum perforatum, Linum catharticum, Rytidosperma racemosum, Rytidosperma clavatum, occasional sweet vernal in patches. Grazed by cattle in winter.
