Habitat:
Locally common - growing at the base of a fallen, rotting mahoe (Melictyus ramiflorus) log.
Notes:
Associating with Alleniella hymenodonta, Anuera sp., Cryphaea tenella, Sematophyllum amoenum, Wijkia extenuata, Rhynchostegium tenuifolium and Metzgeria furcata. this material was also identified as T. rigida by J.E. Braggins (16 March 2012) who notes "hairs faintly ornamented" - however it seems closer to T. hatcheri than T. rigida.
