Habitat:
Abundant on the upper bark, branches and branchlets of a cyclone felled Kermadec pohutukawa (Metrosideros kermadecensis).
Notes:
Thallus when fresh adaxially dark blue-black, upper surface pseudocyphellate, pseudocyphellae becoming isidiate. A narrow lobed form typical of this species in the higher parts of the Raoul island 'wet' forest type, in this form the lobe margins are often deeply lacerate and/or covered in prominent marginal projections (?phyllidiate).
