Neglected plantings by street; growing through low shrub.
Notes:
Cormous plant (corms not collected). Flowers held well above leaves; i.e. whole inflor., secund on spike. Spathe c. 3 cm long, pink. Perianth to c. 5 cm long to apex of large upper lobe of inner whorl, cream excepting dull purplish-magenta central area and pale yellow distally; otherwise perianth limb cream or with reddish-magenta central band (lowest lobe of inner whorl). Perianth large & campanulate, only slightly zygomorphic; tube c. 1 cm long, cylindric and curving forwards; 3 outer lobes 3-3.5 cm long, broad obovate; upper lobe of inner whorl c. 4 x 3.3 cm, very broad obovate; lower 2 lobes of inner whorl shorter and narrower. Anthers mauve. Style and stigmas white. Very few plants.
