Notes:
Cormous herb; corms with brown tunics having parallel fibres. Leaves developing at flowering time; midrib on adaxial side whitish. Perianth tube white or nearly so, to c. 18 cm long; perianth segments usually 5-5.8 x 1.3-1.9 cm, mauve, shading to pale mauve proximally with pale yellow throat. Anthers 1.3-1.5 cm long, orange. Styles orange, with the 3 main branches subdivided 6-8 times. Adventive with spontaneous plants occuring around the garden and driveway.
