Shady mound beneath trees and on nearby rocky bank.
Notes:
Small succulent-stemmed herbs, usually unbranched; stems green or reddish. Leaves dull and very thin. Flowers erect or suberect. Corolla 3.5-4 cm across the flat limb; spur 3.5-4 cm long; almost thread-like. Petals somewhat unequal (corolla slightly longer than wide usually, rose or deep pink, sometimes orange-pink, ± broad obovate. Stigmas & anthers coloured. Originally planted but now naturalised commonly in the Lodge grounds.
