Notes:
Stem short (plant young) with short internodes. Leaves with petioles swollen at base, apical pulvinus not obvious; lamina to c. 29 x 16 cm, ± ovate-oblong, glossy deep green above with paler midrib and main veins, paler beneath; basal lobes large and tending inbricate slightly. Peduncle much > leaves and inflorescence well exserted above. Spathe to c. 13 x 11 cm, suborbicular, widespreading, white or pink at anthesis (latter colour above) glossy and ± subcoriaceous, puckered with raised veins, apiculate. Spadix to 11 cm long at anthesis and nearly 1 cm diam., pink, slightly tapering. Fruiting spathe greenish-red above & fruiting spadix light green. Immature fruits light green on top, ± obovoid.
