Steep coastal bank facing north.
Notes:
Herb forming a loose mat; stems stout at base. Vegetative parts and inflor. scape silvery white except for greenish tinge on upper side of leaves. Capitula 7-8 cm across rays. Phyllaries shining brown, especially outer ones. Rays c. 4.5 cm long, light orange with black base and c. 1-1.2 cm wide, curling over anthesis. Disc florets black. Filiform white bracts at base of phyllaries.
