Notes:
Small tree with twisted stout trunk 3-4 m high. Prop roots abundant. Leaves in terminal clusters, ± glaucous, to c. 80-90 cm long. Syncarp nearly globose; immature one collected c. 12 x 11 cm, mature syncarps a little larger, not measured. Phalanges (central and or larger) 6-7 cm long; width very variable; sides shining orange; segment tops orange; grooves between segments rather shallow.
