Habitat:
Neglected garden, old flower border.
Notes:
Herb with long creeping rhizomes that root freely at nodes. Ochreae brownish-red. Aerial stems erect, hollow. Leaves with membranous lamina; petiole insertion point on upper side of lamina purple. Old flower racemes ± horizontally spreading. Originally planted but now has spread over some square metres amongst other herbs.
