Notes:
Herb with short erect rhizome. Leaves with rather short, pale green, red-dotted petioles; stipules large and caducous; lamina to c. 15 x 12 cm, oblique, deep glossy green above, lighter below with scattered small dark red scales and a tuft of such scales at apex of petiole, with a few gold spots on lamina above. Inflorescence > leaves. Flowers white. Tepals of male flowers 4-7 mm long, ± broad obovate & rounded distally. Tepals of female flowers c. 3-4 mm long, elliptic; ovary wings c. 2 mm wide; stigmas 3, not branched or twisted.
