Herb with grey-white tomentose stems, leaves and calyx, mainly dying off at this stage. Flowers white; 2-3 cm across expanded limb; petals individually c. 1-1.5 cm long, ± broad obovate, ± emarginate. A few plants, this one being the only one flowering.
