Notes:
Stems rather straggling but ascending to c. 80 cm high, not tufted. Spikes pendent, 1.5-2 cm long, laterally compressed. Spikelet with large papery glumes appearing inflated, with green central vein and a 3-branched green vein on either side. A few plants. Stock from seed originating from Ireland some years ago.
