Notes:
Herbaceous, presumably perennial but root system not dug up. Leaves grey-green. Flowers pendent in bud, erect at anthesis. Petals 3-3.5 x 3.7-3.8 cm, very broadly rounded-obovate, orange, imbricate. Stigmatic rays 7-8. 2 plants present but has grown along this stretch of roadside for at least 30 years.
