Habitat:
In 'wet' florest near Summit Trig. On recently cut down (by IGNS) Pseudopanax kermadecensis branches growing admixed with Papillaria crocea, Lejenea sp. (K248), and Sticta samoensis.
Notes:
Bright green when fresh. Leaves with a spiky appearance on drying.
Specimen notes
Supplementary remarks:
The leaves on a few branches are weakly reflexed and more suggestive of the squarrose leaves typical of this species than the other Kermadec collection (de Lange & Havell K498). The dry leaves here still seem more plicate than those of specimens from Australia and PNG.
