West-facing slope, scattered pines, and ± open beneath.
Notes:
Clump-forming succulent plant with short ± decumbent stems. Leaves to c. 9 x 1 cm, pale green and ± straight. Flowers c. 6 cm across when fully expanded (usually not opening widely), with 1.8-2 cm across acutely angled receptacle apex. Sepals very unequal. Petals mainly 2-2.5 cm long, white & somewhat shining, finally ageing pink. Stamens with white filaments & yellow anthers. Stigmas ± green. A few small clumps amongst other Carpobrotus and ×Carpophyma.
