Notes:
Herb with erect stem and narrow rhizomes. Leaves all radical, with scattered simple hairs on both sides. Scapes with bulbous-based (black) hairs and some tiny white stellate ones. Phyllaries with numerous glandular hairs, black except distally behind bulbous apex, and some white stellate hairs. Capitula c. 1 cm across; disc yellow; rays golden. Almost solely occupying this large talus with many thousands of plants and numbering millions in the whole cirque.
