Habitat:
Cultivated beneath fairly sparse tree canopy.
Notes:
Shrub c. 2.5 m high. Young shoots, petioles and inflor. branches fawn tomentose. Leaves strongly bullate, dark green above and with impressed veins, whitish tomentose beneath. Inflor. dome-shaped. Flowers scented. Corolla white, c. 3 mm long , c. 6 mm across; lobes c. 2 mm diam., broadly rounded-ovate, recurving. Stamens = or slightly > corolla lobes.
