Top of rock wall, spontaneous.
Notes:
Succulent herb rooting at lowest nodes and tending mat-forming. Leaves dense towards apex of short vegetative shoots, usually 10-20 mm long, subterete & somewhat flattened dorso-ventrally, bright green. Inflor. on erect stems to c. 25 cm high; rachis with abundant forward-pointing leaves. Inflor. branches with ± secund flowers. Sepals 3-4 mm long, elliptic or ovate-elliptic. Petals 6-7 mm long, yellow, ± elliptic. Stamens in 2 unequal whorls, longer approx petal length; filaments and anthers yellow. Styles yellow,. Scales ± square, becoming yellow. Spreading vegetatively by detached pieces.
