Notes:
Erect succulent herbs with annual aerial parts. Stems purplish in lower half to ⅔ rds, arising from basal tuber. Leaves ± dull green, large basal ones to c. 7 cm diam., orbicular to broad reniform with central depression on lamina above opposite petiole apex, becoming smaller up stem and entire and becoming elliptic in inflor. and ultimately not surpassing calyx. Sepals c. 2 mm long, broad ovate, appressed. Flowers ± declined, sub-secund. Corolla 7.5-8.5 mm long, broad cylindric & often somewhat wider distally, pale green and unspotted; lobes c. 1 mm long, very broad, apiculate. Stamens included; filaments adnate to corolla tube, green. Carpels green. Glands c. 1 mm long, oblong-elliptic, deep orange. Spontaneous all over rock garden, growing from seed.
