Small multi-stemmed tree with smooth bark, c. 7-8 m high, evergreen. Young shoots shining. Leaves prominent lenticels. Leaves glaucous beneath, ± deep green above and with indented veins, reddish-brown when young. Male catkins pendent; bracts reddish-brown, acuminate. From same tree as Sykes 165/94.
