Notes:
Slender-stemmed palm c. 1 m high (young). Leaves to c. 90 cm long, curving; petioles 25-35 cm long including basal sheath, yellowish-green, shallowly chanelled above; sheath and lower side dotted with irregular, tightly appressed black scales; pinnae in 11 pairs, dark glossy green, 21-30 x 1.8 cm, linear-lanceolate, acuminate; midrib raised above. Sterile.
