Forming a dense stand below deciduous fruit trees.
Notes:
Tap-rooted herb, erect, somewhat aromatic; stems erect, to > 1 m high, ribbed, purplish at base. Leaves with petioles angular and of purple towards base, shining; lamina very soft and dull. Compound umbels flat-topped, to c. 6 cm across. Bracteoles spreading to deflexed. Petals patent, heteromorphic, white; outer petal of each flower c. 2.5 x 2-2.5 mm, broad obovate with apex ± truncate to emarginate, other petals smaller with smallest inner petal c. ½ size of outer. Stamens ephemeral. Fruits smooth shining green, (coll. on 19/11/2002). Abundantly regenerating round the park after having been introduced some years ago.
