Shrub c. 1 m high forming a fairly dense bush. Shoots ± deep pink when young. Leaves glaucescent beneath. Flowers opening widely. Petals 3-4 cm long, asymmetric, golden. Stamens 2-2.5 cm long, yellow. Stigmas reddish. Ovary dark shining red.
