Habitat:
Growing beside track & extending up the slope of a slag heap at the northern end of the population. In light shade beneath Eucalyptus melliodora, also in open sites. Site is relatively flat although heavily disturbed by past quarrying activity.
Notes:
Not native. Extensive over 50-100 m in length and 5-15 wide. Locally dominant to the exclusion of all other species. The population appears to be beyond extripation since it relies on a soil-stored seedbank which would be difficult to eradicate. First record for Australia. First found at this locality by Quentin Groom (BR) in October 2016.
