Habitat:
Growing on the edge of a modified primary tawa-titoki-pukatea forest under large mahoe. The topography is gently sloping and north facing. The plant is growing amongst saplings of kaikomako, Coprosma areolata and bamboo grass
Notes:
The area was grazed by sheep and cattle until around 2014 when it was covenanted. There is only one plant.http://naturewatech.org.nz/observations/7198773
