Notes:
Succulent-stemmed herb 50-60 cm high; stems few and suberect. Leaves ± distichous, dark, ± shining green above, mainly uniformly coloured but a few with greenish-white spots, paler uniformly green beneath. Inflor. scarely > leaves, shining pink or rose. Male flowers with sepals to 1.5 x 1.4 cm, suborbicular, pink, cordate. Petals c. 4 mm long, narrow, translucent white. Female flowers very small and undeveloped at this stage.
