Notes:
Cormous herb with 5-6 erect leaves. Flower spike 90-100 cm high. Spathe valves herbaceous, green, > perianth tube. Flowers secund. Plant dormant from late winter to early summer. A small number of plants from accidently? dispersed cormlets. Perianth 8-10 cm long, curving forward, uniformly primrose-yellow apart from a few small pink streaks inside tube; lower 3 segments to 4 x 3 cm, suborbicular & strongly recurved; posterior segment c. 6 cm long, ± broad elliptic, curving forward and hooded. Stamens much < smaller lower segments and style, lying ± in posterior segment hood; anthers c. 1 cm long, mauve.
