Habitat:
Stony bed of stream 2 m wide. Overhanging vegetation is Leptospermum scoparium scrub with Halocarpus biformis, Phyllocladus alpinus, Nothofagus solandri var. cliffortioides, and Myrsine divaricata present. Gahnia procera, Lepidothamnus laxifolius, Sphagnum cristatum, and Empodisma minus on the stream banks. Sunlight is filtered through the scrub canopy.
