Habitat:
Cultivated beneath tall pines.
Notes:
Large shrub 3-4 m high, forming a large suckering thicket. Leaves deep, ± shining green above. Calyx reflexed. Corolla 2.5-3.5 cm long to apex of the short upper lip, curved forward, shining light yellow with orange-brown dorsally and on limb; tube ventricose basally, ampliate above the proximal constriction. Stamens exserted with dark reddish anthers; shorter pair often scarcely exserted; filaments pink in upper half. Style included.
