Habitat:
Among ridgetop rocks (sandstone), with Hebe macrantha ssp. macrocalyx, Usnea contecta, Coprosma fowerakeri, Hierochloe novae-zelandiae, Poa colensoi, Celmisia spectabilis, Anisotome aromatica, Acrothamnus colensoi, Chionochloa australis, Pentachondra pumila. Forming a patch 50 cm diameter.
Notes:
Purple-crimson speckling in corolla. Anthers dark purple. Corolla sinus yellow. Nectary glands flat and sometimes trifid at apex. Single flowers 0, doublets 34, triplets 12.
