Habitat:
Boggy area near stream, open with grasses & rushes, open area
Notes:
Prostrate mat-forming herb; stems and leaves shining; former ascending. Flowers bilabiate, mauve excepting lower lip. Corolla 1-1.5 cm long; tube 5-6 mm long; lower lip c. 1 cm across, broad & undulate; beard with dark orange spots. Stamens included. Holes of upper lip slightly emarginate. Densely covering many square metres.
