Notes:
Stem erect, short. Leaf sheaths pale green, obscurely mottled whitish; lamina often ± horizontal, light green beneath excepting darker veins; dark green above on midrib and margins and irregularly along main veins, this dark area much wider in young leaves, otherwise upper surface silvery-grey. Inflor. (early anthesis when collected); peduncles = or > petioles. Spathe 7-7.5 cm long, pale green. Spadix 5-5.5 cm long with white, cylindric "appendage" 4 to nearly 5 cm long; female flowers few at base. Cult. as a form of this species.
