Supplementary remarks:
Pseudostems c. 1.5 m high purple proximally; rhizomes purple-flushed outside. Leaf sheaths with purple margins. Inflor. erect. Flowers spaced; bracts 2-2.5 cm long, elliptic, not overlapping. Perianth orange-red, 3-3.5 cm long; tubular portion > bracts. Lateral staminodes c. 2 cm long, narrow linear-oblanceolate. Labellum orange-red, exserted portion c. 2 cm long; lobes 2, 1-1.5 cm long, oblique. Filaments c. 6 cm long, similar colour. Style slightly > filaments.
