Keywords:
Dry; Flat; Garden; Lowland; Shaded; Sheltered; Shortforest(2.5-20m); Terrace; Humus/loam; Mud stone
Notes:
The species always regenerated vegetatively, a view more-or-less supported by Flora NZ 4: 88 where it says its spread is "mainly vegetatively by the thick roots". So here's a seedling to prove it can establish by seed. We don't grow this species though it's in neighbours' gardens and waste areas within maybe 100 m of this seedling.
Observed species:
Pittosporum eugenioides
Syzygium smithii
