Supplementary remarks:
Plants robust, leaves very wide, reddish green, ridged, drooping to ground, flattish, sterile bracts clasping. Flowers and stems reddish. Backs of sepals reddish. Petals etc white and flushed until red. Flowers open readily throughout, perfumed. Pollinia held behind stigma and ± below, coherent. Insect-dependent. Cilia white, column same as G16871
