Notes:
Forming dense mat on emergent rock at margin of Fish Creek (in small swift tributary) and subject to drying; with abundant Echinodium hispidum.

Supplementary remarks:
I consider this material to be indistinguishable from the syntype of Sciaronium bellii from Southland; the stem leaves that I have entirely unistratose. forming dense mat on emergent rock at margin of main flow; reputedly subject to variation of flow and drying up of this spring fed stream paraphyllia: abt [abundant] leaf shape: ovate-lanceolate mid leaf lamina thickness: unistratose mid leaf margin thickness: unistratose stem leaf reflexion: nil costa width (about 1/4 above base): c. 90 µm
