From same rock (same batch as No. 520 but since that was gathered the shading vegetation along stream has been cleared away.
Supplementary remarks:
operculum falls away without columella; at least ½ a columella is left behind when capsule ripens naturally. Calyptra just as long as operculum, split ½ way up one side. [other side of paper] calyptra split by widening [&] flattening out of operculum. [illustration]
