Notes:
Cormous herb, the corms with brown tunics splitting into parallel fibres. Leaves developing at flowering time; midrib on adaxial surface whitish. Perianth with white tube; pale mauve segments c. 5 - 6 x 1.3 - 1.8 cm with pale yellow base adaxially; apex of segments acute or subacute. Anthers orange yellow. Style deep orange, its 3 main branches each further divided. Seeding around garden spontaneously.
