Habitat:
On road verge across old dune flat, growing in peaty sand - a small depression made by vehicle wheel tracks when parking off the sealed road. Growing with Polycarpon tetraphyllum. On drier ground within 1 m is sparse pasture of Aira caryophyllea, Bromus diandrus, Vulpia bromoides, V. myuros, Ehrharta calycina.

Specimen notes
Supplementary remarks:
Erect succulent herb with stems in clusters, stems scarely flattened + thus subterete when fresh. Leaves 1-1.5 mm long, mucronate. Flowers 3- merous. Sepals and petals 0.8-1.3 mm long, connate at base, triangular - lanceolate, aristate; sepals slightly > petals. Stamens much < petals. Scales not seen, ?absent. Plants occupying a depression c. 5 x 0.3 m, periodically flooded.
