Habitat:
This 3 hectare manuka/sedge fen occurs in a hollow between sand dunes. Isolepis prolifer is the most common sedge present. The wetland was very dry at the time of collection, with no open water.
Notes:
Plant Register ID: 2005/480This plant occurs as scattered clumps throughout the wetland. This was one of the few flowering specimens found. A species list was developed for this site by local botanical society members in 2002. They did not find flowering Baumea at the time and provisionally identified it as B. tenax. This site is listed in Kapiti Coast District CouncilRightSingleQuotes District Plan as ecological site K184.
