Supplementary remarks:
Specimen is at an extreme of the variation in L. [Leptinella] goyenii, most similar to specimens from Rough Peaks, Eyre Mtns but with fewer leaflets (3, not 5 per leaf). Site is, like Rough Peaks, on the western edge of distribution of the species and this probably explains the unusual form. It would be difficult to describe this as a new sub-species without more specimens from intermediate localities to check if there is continous variation between Central and Western Otago.
