flower/fruitVine. Petals deep pink; fruit yellow, ovoid. One plant, cultivated (no seedlings seen). Hypanthium 1. 8 cm (incl. enlarged nectar chamber); bracts 3, divided to base, with obscure teeth and reflexed basal lobes. Peduncle 24 cm. Petals & inside of sepals crimson. Leaves deeply tripartite (> than in P. trip, P. tarm.) Very young ones pubes. above but soon confined to veins. Stipules narrow, dark-tipped, early deciduous.
