Tree c.5 m high; trunk stout; canopy dense. Shoots, petioles and petiolules pale brownish-grey scaly. Leaf lamina scaly, especially beneath, very dark glossy green above. Flowers in a diffuse yellow panicle, fragrant. An isolated tree.
