Notes:
Large clump-forming, cormous herb. Inflor. stems to c. 1m high, ± flattened in upper part. Bracts 1.5 - 1.7 cm long; outer slightly > inner. Perianth 6 - 6.5 cm long, deep pink outside, paler inside and on outside of lobes of inner whorl; tube 4.5 - 5 cm long; lower part 1.5 - 1.8 cm long, very slender & sharply bent at c. 90° at apex so that ampliate upper part + lobes are pendent; lobes 1.7 - 2 cm long, elliptic; limb almost regular. Stamens shortly exserted from perianth tube; anthers 7 - 8 mm long, dark blue. Style > stamens.
