Notes:
Flower/fruit.Leaves ? whorled or alternate, covered in bristly anthrorse hairs. Leaves deciduous leaving scarious stipules. Flowers with 5 free headed sepals, glabrous except for one erect, near-terminal awn ½ length of sepal. Petals O, stamens 5, stigmas 3 on spherical ovary.
