Notes:
Collected during the cruise of yacht Stokes in the northern canales of Patagonian Chile during August-November 2001.Identified by Dr Ramirez, Botany Department, University of Valdivia, in January 2002.The bush was about 1.5 metres high, overhanging the water and the flowering had just passed. This was the only specimen of this plant that I saw in my August-November cruising in the canales north of the Golfo de Penas that year. I am told it is typically found at the head of an inlet. It is listed in Adriana E Hofmann's Flora silvestre de Chile zona araucana Santiage, Ediciones Fundacion Claudio Gay 4th revised edition 1997 p34 as a rare plant.
