Habitat:
Blowout in granite sand on ridge, with Chionohebe pulvinaris Dracophyllum pronum, Poa colensoi, Luzula pumila.
Notes:
Monocarpic, perhaps biennial or triennial but some plants flowering each year. Pollinator seen: bumble bee. Common from this point north along the range, abundant wherever there is bare granite sand. Gentianella "Lookout".Specimen over 2 sheets.
