Habitat:
Amongst septentinite rock, crushed rock and skeletal soil.
Notes:
Locally common on quarry workings amongst septentinite rock, crushed rock and skeletal soil. Plants completely decumbent, branches lax, widely spreading in a broad circular from a stout, deeply descending, sparsley branched root stock. Leaves aggregated toward apices, somewhat tightly to laxly imbricating. Most plant seen not flowering. The few that were had rather inconspicusous white flowers more or less hidden within the oversized involucral bracts.
