Notes:
Ex Cult. A distinct, possibly new species allied to Geranium brevicaule and known by the tag name Geranium "Von". This plant originated from a specimen given to me by Roby Smith then of Percy Reserve, Petone, who in turn had the plant from the late A.P. (Tony) Druce. Druce had apparently unknowingly collected it from somewhere along the Von River (probably the North Branch according to his late wife Hellen Druce - consulted 2007; so the grid refernce here is her best guess). The plant had appeared in a pot of some species of sterile grass Druce had collected from the Von and which he was growing on for identification. No plants like this Geranium have been seen since (despite searching) from the Von Tiver. This plant breeds true.
